they don’t talk

they’re so easy to pause

the smell good

they exercise your brain

their covers are a lot harder to judge

they last longer

you can write on them

they feel personal

you can go into a totally different world

they aren’t loud

they take no work to set up

they’re easy to understand

you can be deaf and still understand what’s going on

book aquiring techniques

Books are expensive, we all know that. If they weren’t, I would have so many more! So, here are some tips on getting books…

1. buy all the books you want

2. go to the library and look for books you wanted at the store

3. take pictures of the books so you don’t have to write the titles, and then look for them at used stores or online or at other stores

4. hold a book swap with your friends

5. borrow books from friends

6. buy them at goodwill

7. get a kindle or a nook

8. beg for books or gift cards for your birthday or Christmas or Hanukkah

9. steal your siblings books

10. read your friends books instead of hanging out with them

11. become an editor

12. Sell all the books you’ve read, and use the money to buy new books

13. work at a bookstore

14. review books

15. reread books

16. reread books backwards

17. only buy choose your own adventure books

18. only buy really thick paperbacks

books that are about a war, but not in it

They aren’t about the action, but the character’s life is certainly affected by the war going on.

About Me

Meredith

Reader extraordinare. I love books, I read on the bus, at home, at school, everywhere. My favorite place to read? Hmmm, I like the hammock under the apple trees, and the swing in the woods. Favorite Book? don't ask. It's too hard to decide. I just can't.
